I am for sure heading down to Cincinnati to vote on Tuesday. This is very exciting-- not only can I cast my vote in support of some great people and ideas, but I can volunteer at some polling locations, too. As I said, I can't imagine not doing something real on Election Day. (I have very vivid memories of last year, working at a Catholic church, talking to the mother of a congressional candidate. And then listening to the baby brother of that same candidate get taken to task by this crazy-eyed woman about how it's impossible to be a Catholic Democrat, and how Planned Parenthood clinics are abortion mills. Awesome.) I know that Tuesday will be a hella long day-- polls open at 6:30!-- but that it will surely bring some great things to my adopted city.
Considering it's 3:15am, I have a 5-hour drive to make tomorrow, and I have to be up before the asscrack of dawn on Tuesday-- I'm cutting this short. I'm sure I'll have a lot to say the rest of this week.
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!
