Here's a fool-proof method for getting me to abandon plans.
1. Take me to a Mexican restaurant.
2. Talk up the margaritas to entice me to order one.
3. Have me drink said margarita while feeding me things of the cheese-covered ilk.
Done and done.
My stomach is doing ridiculous things right now, my head hurts from the margarita (which was admittedly delicious), and I didn't make any progress on Oscarquest 2010. Goddammit. "Wasted away again", indeed.
In better news, Community was picked up for a 2nd season today. Here's hoping that this news is a harbinger of better times for NBC. Or, to rephrase, here's hoping that this news is a harbinger of better, non-"The Marriage Ref"-greenlighting decisions on the part of NBC development executives.
I really wish my stomach would chill the f' out. This is not comfortable. That said, I had a very nice visit with Aunt Sal and the Buzz-Man, a.k.a. BFF Katie's parents. They let me crash their regular Friday-night Mexican food ritual, and it was really good to catch up. Sally is joining me for at least one leg of Oscarquest 2010 tomorrow. Review to follow.
