Woo! I hit the 150 mark on this blog-- hard to believe. Sometimes it feels like my surgery was yesterday, sometimes it feels like another lifetime. Today it feels like ten months and one week.
Anyway, in a little less than two weeks, I am moving back to Kalamazoo to tie up loose ends academically and get back on my feet in a bigger way. And if all goes well, come May, I'll be done-done-done with school. (Yeah, it's only taken me just shy of a fucking decade, but whatever.) My brother's nuptials take place in California at the very end of May, so I am thinking one thing, and one thing only: ROAD TRIP. What better way to cap off one long, figurative journey than by starting a literal one? I've only been to the West Coast once, and I was 14 months at the time. I have tight allies in Seattle, Portland, the Bay Area, and the LA area, and after graduation, I have nothing but time. I am itching for a road trip. If anyone wants to come along for any leg of this trip, let me know. I just have to be in Monterrey for Memorial Day weekend.
I need to get a job for the next few months...like ASAP. Before I think about big-girl jobs, like real-world jobs, I need a money-making opportunity to bankroll my plans for the next few months. Ok. I need some shut-eye so I can get some stuff handled tomorrow. Good night.
