The wonders of vitamin D and the G-world

Recently, my friend Andy and I had a brief debate over which we prefer: the i-[whatever] products (iPod, iPhone, iMac) and the g-[whatever] products (Google, Gmail, Gchat), and we agreed that the g-stuff is better. And I've found one more reason why! I found a tool within Google Maps where you can measure the distance of any path you take-- so now I can keep track of how much distance I cover when I take my daily walks. Today, the weather is gorgeous-- it's just about 45 degrees, and very sunny. Prime late-winter Michigan weather. I was feeling a little ballsy, so I ventured outside of my parents' neighborhood, and ended up tallying over 2 miles! Also, just east of the neighborhood is a functioning farm run by our school district...there are gardens and some historical buildings, and this short but kind of steep hill that runs alongside...made the walk a little more interesting.

Anyway, I'm off to get ready for a dinner date with Katie's parents-- key members of Team Dana. Yes, the timestamp for this entry may read "4:45pm" which may seem early to begin preparations for the dinner hour...however, today marked my first foray back into the unpleasant-but-important world of sports bras, and God knows how long it'll take me to get untangled from that mess. "Oy with the poodles already!"
