I am tossing around ideas for New Year's resolutions-- I think I've settled on a good one, and I'm going to marinate on it until the ball drops. It could be subtly epic. Yes.
I had a long and enjoyable day today. The LGW luncheon was wonderful. (One of my fellow LGW-ers gave all of us something called Amish Friendship Bread. I have a Ziploc bag of the bread starter sitting on the counter, and I guess I have to sort of babysit the starter for the next 9 days, and then I get to bake it. I am very intrigued. And since I am going to Cincinnati tomorrow, the starter is coming with me. Like a baby. This may be the closest I get to parenthood.) I had tea with my friend Brian at this coffee shop that Ben brought to my attention. (I think that I need to invest in one of the fancy tea pots that they have at that place. It could be a very good decision.) Brian is making his life as an artist happen, and it is wonderful to hear about. And then lastly, I hung out with some key members of Team Dana-- the Atlantans, Eric, Robin, and Brandon. We basically just laughed for 4 hours. Also, it afforded me the chance to bust some ass at Apples to Apples.
I have yet to solidify my plans for NYE, but it's looking like fat-kid pants, Skyline chili, card games with the Cinci-fam, and probably some episodes of Glee. Talk about subtly epic!
Good night!
