I'm smelling Skyline...

I haven't been reading much from writers that like to let words and ideas fly-- I've been reading things that are snarky, intellectual, etc. I think I need to make a change because I read this and it delighted me:

I worked the day at the store, packed the car, and now I'm in Cincinnati. I am hella tired and I am not sure if I will be able to lift my arm to brush my teeth in a few minutes. Yowza.

So, I am [understandably] amped about Olympic ice-dancing-- athleticism + glittery spectacle = ideal DKM sport-- and I've been intrigued by the rivalry between two of the American teams. White/Davis vs. Belben/Agosto. A friend of mine posted a video of White/Davis performing a routine that was basically a lazy exploitation of Indian culture. I found it to be really offensive. I haven't found the right words to articulate what about it offends me, but it's sort of the same feeling I get when I hear "Christian rock"-- the bastardization of a specific niche of art or culture by clumsy hands. Here's the video: holler at me about it you see what I mean.
